Jeff Schlanger, a New York City native and graduate of Music & Art High School, is a pioneering artist known for his musicWitness® paintings and sculptures, which focus on the themes of peace, war, and music. Schlanger’s work has been featured in numerous prestigious venues, including all 22 annual Vision Festivals in New York City, where his live performance paintings were integrated with avant-garde jazz concerts from 2010 to 2014. His exhibitions have spanned the globe, with notable displays at the Academy of the Arts in Berlin, the Hunterdon NJ Art Museum, and the Guelph Jazz Festival. Schlanger’s work has also been showcased at the Knitting Factory in New York and the Painted Bride Art Center in Philadelphia, among others. His contribution to the arts was recognized in 2014 with a Vision Festival Lifetime Recognition Award.
