Andrew Lamb, a.k.a. The Black Lamb, is an accomplished musician and educator, specializing in saxophones, flutes, clarinet, oboe, and various indigenous woodwinds. As a teaching artist, he has shared his expertise at organizations such as The Restoration Corporation, Community Works, Sports and Arts in Schools, and Mind-Builders Creative Arts Center. Over the years, Lamb has helped students, ranging from ages 6 to 70, prepare for successful music school auditions and music scholarships, focusing on technique, sight-reading, audition etiquette, and the spirit of competition. With a formal education from S.U.N.Y. Old Westbury and mentorship from renowned musicians like Kalaparusha Ara Difda and J.D. Parran, Lamb has recorded as a leader for Delmark, C.I.M.P. Engine, and other labels. His performance career includes international festivals in Lithuania, Portugal, and Israel, and his ensemble, Circadian Spheres Of Light Project, creates healing music for those affected by autism, dementia, and PTSD. Lamb has been honored with numerous awards, including the 2023 NYSCA Artist Award.
