John King

Bio

John King is a freelance composer, guitarist, violist and live electronics musician who is based in New York City, USA. He has worked collaboratively with Gelsey Bell, Anaïs Maviel, William Parker, David Behrman, William Hooker, Abe Speller and Michael Wimberly, among others. Recent releases include Spherical (on Infrequent Seams, recorded 1994) with Bernie Worrell and Cindy Blackman Santana; and Centripetal Light (on Gold Bolus) with String Noise – Pauline Kim Harris and Conrad Harris. He has written 130+ string quartets in an ongoing project  called “Free Palestine”, the initial works appearing on Free Palestine (New World Records). He has also performed at the “InGardens” and “OUT” music festivals, produced by “Arts for Art”.
