Patricia Spears Jones (b. 1951) is an acclaimed American poet and the author of five poetry collections. A native of Forrest City, Arkansas, she currently resides in New York City, where she has been a prominent figure in the literary community. Jones is the editor of The Future Differently Imagined, an issue of About Place Journal, and was co-editor of Ordinary Women: Poems of New York City Women. Her poem “Beuys and the Blonde” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and she was awarded the Jackson Poetry Prize in 2017. In 2020, she served as the Louis D. Rubin Jr. Writer-in-Residence at Hollins University. Jones holds a BA from Rhodes College and an MFA from Vermont College.
