Rob Brown has been an active member of the downtown music scene for thirty plus years contributing his unique alto saxophone style in many groups as well as leading a number of his own highly regarded ensembles. He has traveled and recorded prolifically in Europe and the U.S. most notably with William Parker’s many groups: Raining on the Moon, Little Huey Creative Music Orchestra. His numerous collaborations include Joe Morris, Amiri Baraka, Reggie Workman and many others. He continues to explore new musical landscapes with his new solo recording recently released called “Oceanic” on the Rogue Art label (France).
